Delicious Rosette Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. 3 large eggs
  5. 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. Vegetable oil for frying
  8. Powdered sugar for dusting

Special Equipment:

  • Rosette iron mold
  • Deep-fry thermometer

Steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Batter In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, add milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until you have a smooth batter. Allow the batter to rest for about 30 minutes.

Step 2: Heat the Oil Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to around 375°F (190°C). Use a deep-fry thermometer to ensure the correct temperature.

Step 3: Dip and Fry Dip the rosette iron mold into the hot oil for a minute to heat it. Shake off excess oil and dip it into the batter, making sure to coat the mold evenly. Immediately immerse the batter-coated mold into the hot oil, allowing the rosette to fry until golden brown.

Step 4: Remove and Drain Once the rosette is golden brown, use tongs to carefully lift it from the oil. Allow any excess oil to drain back into the pan.

Step 5: Dust with Powdered Sugar Dust the fried rosettes with powdered sugar while they are still warm, adding a sweet finishing touch.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy Arrange the Rosette Cookies on a plate and serve once they've cooled slightly. These cookies are best enjoyed fresh and can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.

Step 7: Optional Variations Experiment with different shapes and sizes of rosette molds, or add a touch of flavor by incorporating a hint of cinnamon or citrus zest into the batter.

Experience the enchantment of Rosette Cookies, a confectionery masterpiece that blends visual appeal with a delightful taste. Enjoy these intricately designed treats as a symbol of culinary artistry and celebration.
