Easy Keema Curry thats Ready in 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
- Minced beef (500g)
- Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
- Tomatoes (2 medium, chopped)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
- Green chilies (2, finely chopped)
- Cooking oil (2 tablespoons)
- Cumin seeds (1 teaspoon)
- Ground turmeric (1/2 teaspoon)
- Ground cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Ground coriander (1 teaspoon)
- Garam masala (1 teaspoon)
- Red chili powder (1/2 teaspoon, adjust to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Preparation Steps:
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add finely chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add minced beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in ground turmeric, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, and red chili powder. Mix well.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices.
- Season with salt and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the mixture is well-cooked and aromatic.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve the Keema Curry hot with rice, naan, or bread.
