Miniature Chilli Fish

Ingredients:
For the Fish:
- 1 pound white fish fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Chilli Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
For the Fish:
- In a bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dredge the fish pieces in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the fish pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried fish from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
For the Chilli Sauce:
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, minced ginger, and minced garlic.
- Cook the sauce over medium heat until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Toss the fried fish in the chilli sauce until they are evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve the miniature chilli fish bites immediately as a flavorful appetizer or snack.
