Ingredients

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 2 tablespoons sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 3/4 cup buttermilk
  7. 1/4 cup milk
  8. 1 large egg
  9. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  10. Cooking oil or additional butter for greasing the pan

Steps

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, milk, egg, and melted butter.

Step 3: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Some lumps are okay; do not overmix.
