The Best Chinese Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • Beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, grated
  • Broccoli florets
  • Bell peppers, sliced
  • Carrots, julienned
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Steps:

Step 1: In a bowl, marinate the sliced beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Allow it to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat.

Step 3: Stir-fry the marinated beef until it's browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 4: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant.

Step 5: Add broccoli florets, sliced bell peppers, and julienned carrots. Stir-fry until the veggies are crisp-tender.

Step 6: Return the cooked beef to the pan and toss everything together.

Step 7: Pour in a sauce made of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce. Mix well to coat the beef and veggies.

Step 8: Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
