Apple Cake: The Classic Recipe Ready in a Few Minutes

Ingredients

  • 450g of apples
  • 3 eggs
  • 210g (1 cup) of sugar
  • 110g (1/2 cup) of butter (melted)
  • Lemon (zest)
  • 310g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour
  • 16g (1 tbsp) of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • For the top part:
    • Sugar
    • Butter
  • For decoration:
    • Powdered sugar

Method

  1. in a bowl add the eggs and mix with the electric mixer until the mixture becomes fluffy. add the butter (melted), lemon (zest), flour, baking powder, and salt and combine.
  2. peel and slice the apples and set them aside.
  3. pour the mixture into the cake mold (24cm - mold size) and level it up with a spatula. arrange the apples on the top.
  4. sprinkle the cake with sugar and place a few cubes of the butter. transfer to the oven and bake at 180°C/360°F for 45 minutes.
  5. serve the cake on a serving dish and decorate it with powdered sugar. cut a slice and serve.
