This classic apple cake is simple, quick, and delicious. With a soft texture, aromatic apples, and a hint of lemon zest, it’s the perfect dessert for any occasion. The cake is easy to make, and you’ll have it ready in no time. A great treat for apple lovers!
Ingredients
- 450g of apples
- 3 eggs
- 210g (1 cup) of sugar
- 110g (1/2 cup) of butter (melted)
- Lemon (zest)
- 310g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour
- 16g (1 tbsp) of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- For the top part:
- Sugar
- Butter
- For decoration:
- Powdered sugar
Method
- in a bowl add the eggs and mix with the electric mixer until the mixture becomes fluffy. add the butter (melted), lemon (zest), flour, baking powder, and salt and combine.
- peel and slice the apples and set them aside.
- pour the mixture into the cake mold (24cm - mold size) and level it up with a spatula. arrange the apples on the top.
- sprinkle the cake with sugar and place a few cubes of the butter. transfer to the oven and bake at 180°C/360°F for 45 minutes.
- serve the cake on a serving dish and decorate it with powdered sugar. cut a slice and serve.
