The Best Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

For the Peach Filling:

  • 6 cups fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

For the Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss until the peaches are well coated. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the juices to release.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt for the cobbler topping.
  5. Gradually add milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the melted butter into the batter and mix until smooth.
  7. Spoon the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
  9. Allow the Peach Cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
  10. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra delicious treat.

Enjoy The Best Peach Cobbler, a comforting dessert that showcases the sweetness of ripe peaches and the richness of a buttery cobbler topping.
