DIY Cruffin at Home

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Your choice of filling (chocolate chips, fruit preserves, or pastry cream)

Steps:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin.

Step 2: Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Spread softened butter evenly over each sheet.

Step 3: Sprinkle sugar and ground cinnamon over the buttered puff pastry.

Step 4: If desired, add your chosen filling along one edge of each pastry sheet.

Step 5: Carefully roll each pastry sheet into a log. Slice each log into six even pieces.

Step 6: Place each rolled piece into the greased muffin tin, with the spiral side facing up.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Step 8: Allow the DIY Cruffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Step 9: Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with icing for added sweetness.
