Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • Water (as needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt.

Step 2: Gradually add water, mixing continuously, until the dough comes together.

Step 3: Knead the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Step 4: Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions.

Step 5: Roll each portion into a flat, round shape using a rolling pin.

Step 6: Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.

Step 7: Place the rolled-out dough onto the hot griddle.

Step 8: Cook until bubbles appear, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots emerge.

Step 9: Repeat the process with the remaining dough portions.

Step 10: Serve the roti warm with your favorite curry, vegetables, or any desired accompaniment. Enjoy the wholesome taste of freshly made roti!
