Salmon Nuggets: Crunchy and Delicious to Make in the Oven

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (about 450g) salmon fillets, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking oil (if frying)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking or heat cooking oil in a frying pan for frying.
  2. Cut the salmon fillets into bite-sized nuggets.
  3. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Dip each salmon nugget into the beaten eggs and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
  5. For Baking: Place the coated nuggets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the nuggets are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. For Frying: Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the coated nuggets for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve the Salmon Nuggets hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce, aioli, or lemon wedges.
