Veg Cheese Dosa
Ingredients: For Dosa Batter:
- 1 cup rice
- 1/2 cup urad dal (black gram)
- Salt to taste
- Water (as needed)
For Veg Filling:
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers), finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
For Topping:
- Grated cheese
Calories: Approximately 250 kcal per dosa.
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Soak rice and urad dal separately for at least 4 hours. Grind them into a smooth batter, add salt, and let it ferment for 6-8 hours.
Step 2: In a pan, heat oil and sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, mixed vegetables, and tomatoes. Cook until vegetables are tender.
Step 3: Season the filling with garam masala, salt, and pepper. Allow it to cool.
Step 4: Heat a dosa griddle. Pour a ladle of dosa batter and spread it into a thin circle. Drizzle oil around the edges.
Step 5: Place a portion of the veg filling on one half of the dosa, sprinkle grated cheese over it, and fold the dosa in half.
Step 6: Cook until the dosa is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Step 7: Serve the Veg Cheese Dosa hot, optionally garnished with more grated cheese on top.
